Our Projects – Building a Brighter Future for Nepal’s Children

At Shantima, we believe that every child deserves a chance to learn, grow, and thrive. Our mission is to support underprivileged children by providing education, nutrition, and a safe environment where they can build a better future. Currently, we are actively working in Nepal, running a school for children in need and developing new initiatives to extend our impact. Below are 10 upcoming projects designed to bring positive change to the lives of Nepalese children:

1. Expansion of Our Adopted School in Nepal

We plan to increase classroom capacity, improve learning facilities, and hire more teachers to accommodate more children who need quality education.

2. School Breakfast & Lunch Program

To ensure that no child studies on an empty stomach, we are launching a daily meal program, providing nutritious breakfasts and lunches to schoolchildren.

3. School Library & Learning Center

We aim to set up a well-equipped library with books, educational materials, and digital learning tools to encourage reading and self-learning among students.

4. Free School Uniforms & Supplies

Education should not be a privilege, but a right. We will provide free school uniforms, books, notebooks, pencils, and school bags to children from low-income families.

5. Safe Transportation for Students

Many children walk long distances to attend school. Our project includes arranging school buses and bicycles to make their daily commute easier and safer.

6. Special Support for Orphaned and Street Children

We are launching a program to identify, enroll, and support orphaned and homeless children, ensuring they receive education, care, and emotional support.

7. Teacher Training & Development Program

Quality education starts with trained teachers. We will provide specialized training programs for teachers to enhance their teaching methods and classroom management skills.

8. Health & Hygiene Awareness Campaign

To promote overall well-being, we will conduct regular health check-ups, hygiene workshops, and provide clean drinking water facilities in schools.

9. Girls’ Education & Empowerment Program

We believe in equal opportunities for all. This project focuses on supporting girls’ education, providing menstrual hygiene awareness, and breaking social barriers that prevent them from attending school.

10. Vocational Training for Older Children

For students who are about to finish school, we will introduce vocational training programs in areas like tailoring, carpentry, IT skills, and entrepreneurship to prepare them for self-sufficient futures.
