About Us – The Heart Behind SHANTIMA

Shantima was founded with a deep sense of love, compassion, and a vision to bring positive change to the world. The organization was established by Meena Ma, a devoted humanitarian from Germany, whose journey of self-discovery and service began with a visit to India. Inspired by the teachings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, a revered spiritual guru known for his message of "Love All, Serve All", Meena Ma embraced a life dedicated to helping others, regardless of religion, background, or nationality. Upon returning to Germany, she began her mission of spreading love and spiritual guidance, touching the hearts of many.

Recognizing the power of collective action, a group of like-minded individuals—Gesine, Helga Maria, Reinhild, Maria, Harald, Elisabeth, Margit, Vijay, Daniel and several others—came together to further Meena Ma’s vision. Their shared passion for humanitarian work led to the expansion of Shantima, transforming it into a global initiative focused on uplifting the most vulnerable members of society.

Today, Shantima is actively involved in children’s education, orphanage support, and providing shelter for the homeless in India and Nepal. One of our major achievements has been the adoption of school children and the successful operation of a school in Nepal, where we ensure children receive quality education, proper nutrition, and the tools to build a better future. Our mission extends beyond just education; we work to create safe spaces for orphaned and homeless individuals, offering them shelter, care, and hope for a brighter tomorrow.

As we look ahead, several new projects are in the pipeline, aiming to expand our reach and impact more lives. We firmly believe that change is possible when people come together with love and determination. Education is the foundation of a better society, and by investing in children, we are shaping a future filled with opportunity, dignity, and hope.
